Keeping Little Hands Busy Before Christmas

 Welcome

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Christmas holiday.
It's such a busy time of year and I put all of my time into celebrating with my littles and creating.
I took some time off, hence my late post.

Here are some of the things we did before Christmas.

Cone Christmas Trees
I made a cone shape and glued it onto an old CD for stability.
The kids glued on lots of coloured circles.

Rocking Rudolph
These cute little guys are a PRINTABLE.

Bottle Cap Tree
Keeping it simple for my very young little ones.
I glued bottle caps to the sheet of green paper and my little ones glued coloured circles into the lids.

Ornaments
A friend of mine gave me a bag of silk covered ornaments.  I added a sparkly pipe cleaner to the top as a hanger and the kids used lots of coloured pieces of tape to decorate them.

Christmas is Coming

 Hello and Welcome

I am way behind in posting as the stomach flu decided to come and visit my house and make everyone miserably sick. I am doing much better now thank goodness.  During such a busy time, I need all the time and energy I can find.

So this is a collection of what we have been working on.

Trees
These cute, simple trees are a printable.

Santa Countdown
This is a fun advent calendar the kids made.  There are numbers for them to glue on each day.
It also practices number recognition and counting.

Rudolph and Santa Puppets
Simple paper puppets

Wreath
This adorable and simple wreath is a printable

Mr. Snowman
This was another really cute printable I found.

3-D Ornament
I printed out the circles, the kids coloured them and we glued them together.

Paper Tube Trees
I covered some tubes with green paper, then I folded the tube in half and cut along the sides, leaving the bottom portion together as the base.
We decorated them with some peel and stick shiny glitter paper.

Rudolph
I drew some Reindeer for them to colour.

Wreath

Well thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
Hope you stay healthy and happy!!

Fall Leaves

Hello and Welcome to our little creative corner of the world.
It is Autumn here, we are so enjoying the changing leaves and watching nature.
On our walks, we are loving searching for pumpkins and scarecrows along the way.
My little ones find such joy in collecting leaves too and putting them into their little buckets they carry to collect them in.

Anyways, this is what we did last week.

Suncatcher
Simple suncatcher made by cutting up a paper plate and having the kids add tissue paper onto some sticky contact paper.  Easy for my little ones to do.

Fall Banners
We welcomed the First day of Fall by making banners.

Fall Wreath
Who doesn't need a new Fall wreath for their door.
Paper plate base with leaves glued onto it.

Leaf Match Game
I printed off the leaves with their shadows to make a matching game.
We glued an envelope onto the back to hold all the match pieces of our game.

Tree Gluing
Simple gluing that helps fine motor.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

The Big Day is Almost Here!

 Welcome
We have been feverishly working away creating.
The kids are creating lots of special gift for their Moms and Dads.  Can't show those yet as I want them to be surprised.
We always create some everyday take home goodies so here's what we did this week.

The Stockings Were Hung
We created some simple paper stockings to hang.

Christmas Trees
Here are some cute little trees we made.
I cut a triangle from heavy cardboard and we glued paint chip strips onto the triangle, then decorated them with buttons.
I added a clothespin to the bottom for little hands to hold.

Santa's Elves
Simple elves created using a green paper cup.
pintables can be found here:

Snowman Suncatcher
Here is a cute little snow I printed and cut away the center area to make a suncatcher.
I added some clear contact paper to the back, the kids added the tissue paper to the center, then I added another piece of the clear contact on top to seal it all in.

Rudoph
These cute 3-D printables made us laugh.

Yarn Wreath
I cut out a small wreath shape and the kids wrapped green yarn around it.
When done, we glued some colourful pom-poms onto it.

We used a graham cracker spread with peanut butter.
Pretzel antlers, candy eyes and a big red M & M's for the nose.

Cookie Snowmen
I found this cute decorating set so we used 2 Oreo cookies to create our little snowmen.
