Hibernation and Migration

 Welcome
Last week was another week filled with learning and crafting.
It was fun to find out what animals hibernated and why the birds fly south for the winter.

So, here's what we did last week.

Hibernating Bears
This cute printable was fun to make.

Animals that Hibernate
This puppet printable was very cute.  After colouring them, I cut them out and we glued them onto a stick.  One side showed the animal awake and the other side asleep.

Sleeping Bear
I made a paper cone that we decorated for the cave, then coloured a sleeping bear to put inside.

Flying Geese

Where Do They Sleep?
We coloured the animals, then learned about where they sleep in the winter.

Outer Space

 Hello and Welcome
We worked on a fun theme last week with lots of creating and fun.
We learned about Outer Space and also did a few robot crafts just for the fun of it.

So, here's what we did last week.

Astronaut
We made these fun little astronaut puppets using a paper plate for the helmet.

Rockets
We made our rockets using a paper tube.

Blast Off Spinner
This fun craft was interactive.  The top piece rotated, so we started at earth, did a count down and then flew to the moon.

 Hello and Welcome
Wow....we did so much in the last week for Halloween that you will find this to be a picture heavy post.

So much fun and excitement for all.
Enjoy!!

Bats

Flying Bats
I used a towel roll to make the body and we added wings and glued on some colourful circles.
The kids loved making them fly!

I used 2 paper plates to make our pumpkins.  The bottom was open to add a battery candle.

These fun spiders were circles glued together and then a stick added to make him walk.

Feed The Ghost
I think this was the favourite of the littlest ones.
We fed the ghost spiders, bats and mice.

Bowling in the Dark
I put a glow stick into an empty water bottle.

Spider Web
I covered a hoola hoop with some masking tape, sticky side out.
We used little purple, black and green pom poms as the spiders and the kids threw them onto the web, so they stuck.
