Summer....a time of joy and learning, being outside enjoying the warm sunshine.

That's what we have been doing, along with creating.

So here's what we've been doing.

Monarch Butterfly

We watched the monarch butterflies on our way to the park. 

We learned how they love milkweed.

We used an eye dropper with food colouring to add colour to the coffee filter.

Great fine motor activity.

I glued together 4 popsicle sticks and the kids did some weaving around them before decorating them.

Mom's Special Day

 Phew!

I am very behind in posting but I wanted to show our Mother's Day creations as my kiddos did such a great job and the Moms were all so pleased with receiving them.

So, here's what we did for MOM.

Wooden Plaques

I found these layered wooden plaques and the kids glued tissue paper squares on the back layer, coloured the second layer with markers and then we kept the top layer plain as to show the details.

Again, found these at the Dollar Store and the kids coloured them.
