Celebrating DAD!

Last Sunday we celebrated Father's Day!

My kiddos just love creating for special occasions, so this was a lot of fun getting ready to celebrate DAD.

So, here's what we did last week.

I found these at the Dollar Tree and the kids coloured them with markers.  A real hit.

I traced their hands and we added it over the guitars we coloured.

I took an unplanned blog break...sometimes life gets in the way with being so busy.

Springtime mean outside and being in the garden which takes a lot of my time.

Trying to get back to it and will do my best considering summer is my busiest time of year with a full house of kiddos out from school.

Anyways, we celebrated the Dads with lots of creating and here is what we did.

Dad Badge

We used a paper plate to create our 'DAD' badges.

I traced the child's foot and we glued it over the Dad foot.

Let's Hang Out

I traced the child's hand and we turned it into a sloth.  I created the saying to go with it on my computer.

Trophy for Best Dad

We made these fun trophies by gluing a paper cup onto a paper ice cream dish.

We coloured and decorated them.

Desktop Easels

I used craft sticks to create these fun little easels and then we put a stack of post-it notes on the easel for Dad's desk.  The kids had fun colouring them.

All About Dads!

Last week we celebrated Father's Day by making lots of crafts for DAD.

The kids were so excited to create, wrap and gift them to their dads.  

So here's what we did last week.

Eggcellent Dad

I created a print out and the kids put together a fun foam egg to glue onto it.

Fridge Magnets

We glued some folded paper to an old CD.  The kids coloured the 'Super Dad' and we glued it to the center.

Toad-ally Best Dad Card

Letter Holder

I glued clothespins I got at the Dollar Tree together to make these desk letter holders.

The kids coloured them and we glued some coloured squares on as well.

Gift Bag

I made these gift bag and we wrapped up all the goodies to give to Dad.

It's All About Dad

 Hello and Welcome

Last week we celebrated by creating lots of goodies for the Dads.

I love seeing the excitement in the kids when creating and the smiles on their faces when they go out the door with all their special gifts to give.

So here's what we did last week.

Shark Card

Such a fun little card.  The mouth folded down to reveal the sentiment.

Best Dad 

Simple folded paper coloured to make badge.  

#1 Dad Pennant

I cut these out using some fun foam, then the kids decorated them.

Phone Holder

I glued craft sticks together and the kids coloured and decorated them.

I glued 2 gold paper cups together, glued on some handles cut from gold paper and the kids decorated them.

I folded and glued these together and the kids decorated them.
