More Summer Fun

Hello and Welcome

Summer is such a fun time to be outside, something we love to do.
We do like to take some time though, to create, especially on those rainy days.

So here's some of the fun we had.

Kites
These simple folded paper kites were fun to fly.
We added streamers on the bottom.

Strawberry Puppet
This simple puppet is basically a big heart cut at the top and glued together.

CD Suncatcher
We used some old CD's to make suncatchers.

Rainbow Names
We made these simple rainbows to better learn the letters of the kids names.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Ocean and Beach

 Welcome
What a busy month August has been!  I can't believe how time flies.
I took some time off and stepped away from social media so be prepared....this post is a longer then usual with the theme we worked on for a few weeks.

So here's what we did a few weeks ago.

Fish
We made these cute cone fish using construction paper.

Rocking Shark
This fun printable was coloured, then folded so it would rock.

Seagull
We made this cute seagull using paper plates.

Fishing
This cute little fish was made using a paper towel tube, flattened and then cut.
The kids coloured it and we attached it to a large stick and went fishing.

Moving Fish
We made these fun fish that could bend and we could make them swim.

Seashell Necklaces
I had a bag of seashells so I drilled some holes in them and the kids used them to string some necklaces and bracelets.

Seashell
I printed this cute little seashell off and when folded, it can open and close.
Some of the kids made small shapes to put in the mouth.

Octopus
This cute printable helped us learn that an octopus has 8 legs.

Another fun one.

Origami Boat
I folded some blue paper into a ship shape and the kids decorated.
We glued them onto a stick so we could sail them.

Fish Puppet

Seahorse
I drew and cut out a seahorse for the kids to decorate.

Shark
This printable is so fun.

Well thanks so very much for taking a look.
Have a great week!

More Summer Fun

 Hello all and Welcome

We are back from my 2 wks off and ready to get creative.
Trying to embrace the last days of summer as some of my little ones will be heading off to school.

So here's what we did last week.

Hungry Caterpillar
As you can tell, this book has been well loved by many kids.
We made these cute caterpillars using a large popsicle stick and glued pom-poms on for the body.

Coffee Filter Butterfly
We coloured 2 coffee filter with WASHABLE Crayola markers. We sprayed the filters with water for the colours to blend, then let them dry.
While they dried, we decorated a clothespin and added the eyes and antennae.

Paper Plate Sunflowers
We have been seeing so many blooming sunflowers in the neighbourhood.
We used a paper plate as the base.

Kite
Summer is such a fun to go kite flying and even more fun if you make your own kite.
Here's what we made...added streamers too for the tails.
folding instructions here:

Suncatchers
We decorated some old CD's to make our shiny suncatchers for outside.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
