Ocean and Beach

 Welcome

What a busy month August has been!  I can't believe how time flies.

I took some time off and stepped away from social media so be prepared....this post is a longer then usual with the theme we worked on for a few weeks.

So here's what we did a few weeks ago.

Fish

We made these cute cone fish using construction paper.

Rocking Shark

This fun printable was coloured, then folded so it would rock.

Seagull

We made this cute seagull using paper plates.

Fishing

This cute little fish was made using a paper towel tube, flattened and then cut.

The kids coloured it and we attached it to a large stick and went fishing.

Moving Fish

We made these fun fish that could bend and we could make them swim.

Seashell Necklaces

I had a bag of seashells so I drilled some holes in them and the kids used them to string some necklaces and bracelets.

I printed this cute little seashell off and when folded, it can open and close.

Some of the kids made small shapes to put in the mouth.

This cute printable helped us learn that an octopus has 8 legs.

I folded some blue paper into a ship shape and the kids decorated.  

We glued them onto a stick so we could sail them.

Ocean Adventures

 Welcome

Our theme last week was all about the ocean and ocean creatures.  

It's so fun to explore and learn new things about it all.  The kids ask such interesting questions that we look up on Google to find lots of pictures and answers to our questions.

So here's what we did last week.

Shark

This fun printout was simple to do and lots of fun.

We made this simple hammerhead using a tube for the head.

Rocking Whale

This cute little whale was made using a folded paper plate...so cute.

Octopus Puppet

I printed this out and we glued it onto an envelope I cut the bottom off of so they could use it as a puppet.

Fish Mask

We had fun making our masks and pretending to be fish.

Shark Attack

These sharks were fun to make.  I used a paper plate for the body and the kids got some good practice with sewing the string through the holes.

We added details and then had a shark attack.

Another fun week with my kiddos.  

This week we had a pet theme and created some great paper pets.  

So here's what we did.

Puppy Hat

Simple fun little hat printed onto white and then I let the kids colour them.

A simple fishbowl cut from construction paper.  We added some details and the kids coloured the 3D fish that are folded and glued together.

Cute and simple puppies.

Take a long strip of paper, fold in the middle.  Add a head and some ears, etc..  Bend up long panel for feet.

After our walk and collecting lots of leaves, the kids wanted to make a leaf hat.
