Fun, Creative and Learning Times

 Hello

As always, we have been keeping busy with lots of fun, creative and learning times.

Winter weather is just about to arrive, so we are finishing up with our Fall activities and we will be moving onto Christmas soon.

So, here's what we've been up to.

Blowing Leaves

This was so fun to make.  I took an old tissue box and cut off the front.

The kids coloured a picture of trees and we glued it to the back for the scene.  Next we filled up the box with leaves I had punched out of different colours and then I covered the front with a piece of plastic wrap.  

I added a straw to the top and when the kids blew into the straw, it made all the leaves blow around.

I hope you summer is going well.

For me, it's going by way too fast!  Pretty soon the kids will be back in school.

I had some holidays but other then that, we have been keeping busy as usual.

So, here's what we have been up to.

My kids really like the Bluey TV show so we made some puppets for that.

Unicorns and Mermaids Day

The kids wanted to do a mermaid and unicorns day so they all brought their stuffed toys from home and here's what we did.

Our snack was Unicorn Horns.

Cut banana in half and insert stick.  Freeze.  Dip into yogurt and add sprinkles, the freeze again.

Busy Hands and Lots of Learning

 Hello

Well the title of this post says it all....so many busy days.

Glad to say that the weather is getting really nice here now and we can enjoy lots of outside time.

We've been celebrating all the Spring brings to us...the birds, learning the names of Spring flowers, Earth Day and lots of number learning.

So, here's what we've been up to.

Ducklings

These cute little ducklings were created using circles made from paper.

We have been practicing how to draw circles and making a bird's nest was perfect for that.

Hyacinth

We used some tissue paper to create our flowers.  Good practice crunching up the tissue paper to glue onto the larger pieces.

Tulip Wreath

We glued tulips onto a paper plate to create our wreaths for Spring.

Daffodils

We used a cupcake liner as the middle of our daffodils.

Celebrating Earth Day

Colouring by number for my older kids.

I simple cut out the numbers and the kids glued on the right number of dots.

Pizza Number Game

Simply used a paper plate as the base and the kids glued the right number of pepperonis onto the pieces.

Flower Clocks

We used a paper plate as the base and glued the petals onto that.

Hedgehog Number Match

I printed off the hedgehog for the kids to colour, then we used these little cups I found at the Dollar Store to match up the numbers.
