Halloween is Coming

 Welcome

Busy days and busy hands at my house with lots of learning and fun.
Fall and Halloween are always such exciting times for the kiddos.

So, here's what we've been up to the last few weeks.

Paper Plate Scarecrow

Scarecrow Puppets
I printed these cute little scarecrows off and the kids coloured them.

Our Scarecrow
One of our activities was to make a life sized scarecrow that we put at the front of the house.
The kids just loved stuffing him and putting him together.
They say hello to him every morning when they arrive.

Halloween Banner

Skeletons
I made a cone from some white paper and the kids coloured the features.

Witch House

Silly Ghost
We glued white tissue paper strips onto a small paper plate and then added the ghost features.

Pool Noodle Pumkins
I cut a pool noodle and the kids decorated them.

Wicked Witch Puppet

Climbing Spider
These were easy and fun to play with as the spider can slide up and down.
I drew a spider web onto a paper tube.  The kids then coloured the spider and I glued a small piece of a straw to the back to thread the string through so the spider could move up and down.

Funny Skeletons

Lots more Halloween fun to come.
Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.

Halloween- Week 1

 Welcome
Halloween is such a fun time for my little ones.
They are so excited about it all.  Every day, I add a few more decorations for them to find in the house.  It's like a scavenger hunt every day!  Lots and lots of crafting too.

So, here's what we did last week.

Witch's Hat
This fun hat was created using a black paper plate.
We decorated it using some foam shapes I got at the Dollar Store.

Witch's House
I printed these out and we glued them onto an old CD for stability.

Pumpkin Shakers
I folded some paper and the kids added beans to the inside before we sealed them and decorated them.

Spider Web
I cut some spider webs and the kids decorated them.

Envelope Ghost
We decorated a white envelope to make our little ghosts.

Ghost Windsock
I printed off this ghost and we made him into a windsock.

Little Pumpkins
We made these little pumpkins using this paper punch.

Silly Skeleton

Pumpkin Sticker Book

Five Little Pumpkins

Skull

Halloween is Coming

Welcome
As Halloween gets closer and closer, my little ones are getting more and more excited.
Some of them have never really experienced Halloween as last year brought many Covid restrictions and limitations.
I have slowly been decorating and getting ready for our party on Friday that will be so fun.

So here's what we did last week.

Pumpkin Suncatchers
These fun catchers are fun and easy to make.
I just cut a pumpkin shape from some black paper, attached some sticky contact paper on the back and the kids placed pieces of tissue paper to the sticky side.
When it was full, we glued on the features and added a piece of contact paper to the other side.

Pumpkin Shakers
This shaker was made by covering a paper tube with orange paper, then added the details.
We placed some macaroni inside to make the shaker sound.
It is the safest to use something edible in the shakers just in case the child breaks it opens and happens to eat some of the contents.

Halloween Printables
I printed these out and the kids coloured them

Ghosts
I cut the ghost shapes from some white paper, the kids decorated with pieces of white tissue, then I added the tails to blow in the wind.

Witch
This cute little witch printable can be found HERE.

Envelope Ghosts
I took a white envelope, sealed it then cut the bottom off.
The kids decorated them for a simple ghost puppet.

Halloween Mobile
I found these cute wooden shapes at the Dollar Tree.
We coloured them, then glued on some circles to decorate.
