Let's Celebrate Easter!!

 Hello
Easter and Spring's arrival...the perfect combination for lots of fun creating.
We sure had a blast the past few weeks, so here's what we did.

EASTER WREATH
tip...paint sample strips made for some fun and colourful Easter eggs.

PAPER BAG BUNNY

FOLDED PAPER CHICKS

PAPER STRIP BUNNY

PAPER CONE RABBIT

EASTER EGG SUNCATCHER

EASTER EGG PRINTING
We coloured onto a bubble wrap folder with markers, sprayed with water and printed.
They kept wanting to do more and more!!

WOODEN CHICKS

FUN FOAM EASTER BUNNY

BUNNY RINGS
I made them little rings.

COLOURING PLASTIC EGGS
I picked up some white plastic eggs at the Dollar Store and we coloured easily and with no mess.
I put rice into a bag, dropped in some food colouring and then the kids added their egg.  I closed the top of the bag and the kids rolled the eggs around in the bag to colour them.
They turned out so pretty and the kids were really pleased.

PAPER PLATE EASTER BASKETS

COLOURING EGGS

SNACKS
We made little Rice Krispie nests, added some green dyed coconut and topped it off with some
Mini Eggs.  Yummy

EASTER GAME
My kids had such fun with this game.
They had to pick up the eggs with the bunny lifters and fill the basket.
It turned into magical eggs that you could only touch and hide using the lifters.

Well that's it for now.
Thanks for coming by and taking a look.

New Life

Welcome

Spring brings new life.  It is so wonderful to see all of nature coming alive.
It's great being outside a lot more too.

So here's what we did last week.

Paper Plate Nest
Here is a simple paper plate nest we made.

Swans
This was a simple but fun activity.  The base (you can't see it in the photo) is an old CD that we glued strips of paper onto for creating the nest.

Spring Windsock
A simple craft using a decorated piece of construction paper and some streamers.

Baby Chicks
This was a fun and simple craft as well.
I used 2 paper plates, one for the base that we coloured yellow and then I cut the second one to use as the cracked egg and the wings.

Chicken
We used an old CD again as the base for our nest.
We made the chicken with a paper tube and added all the details.

Hatching Eggs

One of our wonderful Grandmas brought us these eggs that she found at the Dollarama.
It just worked so wonderfully with our 'new life' theme of the week.

The eggs were plastic and we had to soak them in some warm water.

After a few hours, the eggs began to hatch....it was so super exciting for my kids to watch!

Once the eggs hatched open, out popped these little chicks...so cute.
You should have heard my little ones squeal.
It was a great activity considering we couldn't have real chicks hatching in the house.

Thanks so very much for coming by and taking a look.
Have a wonderful week.
