Happy Thanksgiving and Scarecrows

 Welcome
This post will be 2 weeks rolled into one post.
I have to say that I don't know how my weeks get so busy and I run out of time.
We sure have been keeping busy though.

Here in Canada, we celebrated Thanksgiving on Oct. 10th so this post will include some turkeys and some scarecrows too.

So, here's what we have been up to the last 2 weeks.

Turkey Wreath
This simple wreath was fun to create and the kids loved hanging them up at home.

Sitting Turkey
We made this simple sitting turkey by starting with a cone and then added all the features.

Turkey Hat
We made these fun hats to wear for Thanksgiving and learned our 'Turkey Song'.
(Sorry for the blurred pic, little people are always on the move.)

Turkey Song
A turkey is a funny bird,
His head goes wobble, wobble
The only thing that he can say is...
Gobble, Gobble, Gobble

Thanksgiving Placemats
I printed off this sheet and the kids coloured it and glued leaves around.
I added some sticky plastic to make it waterproof.

Cornucopia Gluing

Pumpkin Dot Gluing

Paper Plate Scarecrow
We used the back side of the plate and glued on all the features.

Scarecrow

Crow Puppets
I used an envelope as the base and the kids coloured and then glued on the features.

FINALLY........

We finished off our week of scarecrows by making a life sized one.
It was so fun and the kids did all the stuffing with old paper.
They loved scrunching the paper up and then adding it into the clothes.
They are all so proud of him and get excited to see him every morning as they come in the door.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look.
