Hearts and More Hearts

 Welcome

So happy you could pop in to see what we were up to last week.
So fun to watch and see all the kids are learning.
As we prepared for Valentine's Day, great time to learn about hearts.

So here's what we did last week.

Heart Gluing
Since my littlest ones love to glue, I drew a heart and let them pick out hearts to glue onto a larger one.
Great time to learn colours as well.

Suncatchers
They don't look red but the outside edges were red.  I stuck on some contact paper which is sticky, then the kids put hearts onto the sticky part.

Heart Wreath
This was a printable to make this pretty wreath.

Heart Puppies
The kids liked making these cute little puppies using all heart shapes.

Heart Banner
Here is a super simple banner we made.  Just strips of paper, decorated and overlapped together.

Thanks again so much for coming by and taking a look.

Happy Valentine's Day

 Welcome

This past week we celebrated Valentine's Day.
What a great reminder to let our friends and family how much they are loved.
My little people are so good at appreciating one another; making and giving cards and little pictures to each other all the time.

So here's what we did last week.

Simple Ladybug
I cut out the shapes and my kiddos glued them together.

Llama
Isn't she the cutest?  I found this idea on Pinterest.
I used a paper plate as the base, cut off the sides to use as the ears.

Heart Tree
These turned out so adorable and fun.
I made a cone shape from construction paper and the kids glued hearts in different colours all over the cone.  When they were dry, I glued a paper tube into the bottom so they would stand up.

Valentine Bear Bag
Here is the bag we made to hold all the Valentines they got from each other...a few goodies too!

Pizza Card
We made a non-traditional but so fun cards for the parents....something a little different.

Sewing Hearts
Here is a fun foam heart we sewed and then decorated with heart stickers.

Valentine's Day Banner
We made a fun banner to hang for V-day.

Our Valentine Snack
We made these cute snacks...yummy.

Thanks so much for coming by and taking a look!

Happy Valentine's Day

Welcome.
Valentine's Day, or as my little ones call it, Heart Day, is such a great opportunity to show our friends and family how much we love and care about them.
They were so excited to exchange Valentine cards and also to create special ones for their Moms and Dads.  Nothing better then to create and share!

So, here is what we did this week!

Our little Valentine trees were so cute.  I made a cone shape with some paper and the kids glued rows of different coloured hearts onto it.
It was good practice picking out specific colours to create the different rows.  I glued a paper tube under the cone to make it a cute tree.

Valentine hedgies….so cute and fun reinforcing the 'hearts' shape.

Friends.....the best.
I folded some pink construction paper to create this adorable little puppets.

Another simple Valentine.
The kids coloured a large circle and we glued the cut out I did over the top.

Here is a hot air balloon card we made for our Moms and Dads.

Another fancy Valentine.

Our Valentine Bag holders were made by gluing 2 circles together and rounding off the edges.

We also made some fun snacks:
A graham cracker with p butter and decorated with strawberries and a blueberry smile.
The kids loved them!

I made some bite sized frozen yogurt hearts using a small heart mold.

...and of course. so much colouring, gluing and learning to cut out hearts.
They did a great job!

Thanks so very much for stopping in!!
